Vitalik Buterin: The rise of the Application Layer needs good social philosophy support.

What kind of application you build depends largely on your idea of what the Ethereum DApp (and Ethereum as a whole) will do for the world. Therefore, it becomes essential to have good ideas on this topic." Vitalik cites examples of applications such as Railgun, Farcaster, Polymarket, and Signal, and bad ones, such as Pump.fun, Terra/Luna, and FTX, that differ from developers' beliefs about their goals.
