There’s a saying: it’s not always about how good you are—sometimes it’s just that your opponents aren’t up to par.

Take recent events as an example: on Irys, about one fifth of the total airdrop was snatched up by a bunch of Sybil accounts; Rayls didn’t fare much better, with 10% of the allocation going straight into the pockets of the same group.

Where’s the problem? Both projects used Clique for KYC and airdrop distribution. The result? This system couldn’t stop professional airdrop hunters at all; their Sybil defense was basically useless.

That said, Sentient is planning an airdrop soon, so let’s wait and see if they’ll fall into the same trap. With these recent lessons in mind, let’s watch and see if they have any new tricks up their sleeve.
