Introduction to Gate CFD Copy Trading Leaders
Once you become a CFD Copy Trading Leader on the Gate platform, you can share your CFD trading strategies, continually optimize your performance, expand your influence, and attract followers through platform traffic support. By doing so, you earn a share of the profits generated by your followers.
Important Information for Copy Trading Leader Applicants
- Account requirements: You must apply using your main account; sub-accounts are currently not supported.
- There are no asset requirements for application. Simply provide the necessary contact information and agree to the application terms to submit your application.
How to Apply to Become a CFD Copy Trading Leader
1. Entry Point
APP: On the APP homepage, tap the Aggregated Trading button at the bottom > Copy Trading > CFD to access the CFD Copy Trading homepage. Click [Join Now] to enter the CFD Copy Trading Leader application page.
2. Application Process
Fill in the required contact information, such as your email (mandatory) and Telegram account, so that the platform's customer service can reach out and provide exclusive support after your application.
Read and agree to the relevant terms, then click [Apply Now] to submit.
3. Application Results
Applications are typically reviewed within 1 hour. If approved, you will receive a notification via in-site message & email. If your application is unsuccessful, you can visit the CFD Copy Trading application page to check the reason for failure and try again.
Viewing and Setting Copy Trading Account Information
- After your application is approved, the system will automatically generate a CFD Copy Trading trading account for you. To check your account:
APP homepage bottom Aggregated Trading button > Copy Trading > CFD > Bottom navigation bar [Leader]. - In the CFD Copy Trading "My Leader" section, you can view your performance, positions, followers, and profit-sharing data.
- Tap the [Settings] icon in the upper right corner to access the Leader settings page.
Here, you can set parameters such as the minimum copy trading amount and profit-sharing ratio. Changes only affect new followers.
You can also tap MT5 account information to enter the MT5 account panel, where you can view and manage your Leader MT5 account details.
How to Execute CFD Copy Trading as a Leader
1. Copy Trading Entry Point
Go to the CFD Copy Trading "My Leader" section and tap the [Trade] button to access the CFD Copy Trading Leader trading panel.
APP bottom navigation bar > Contracts > CFD Contract Trading.
Once your Leader account is activated, you can also access the CFD trading panel from here to initiate copy trading.
2. Transfer Funds
Before starting CFD Copy Trading, you need to transfer funds to your Leader account. Entry points for fund transfer:
CFD Copy Trading "My Leader" section, tap the [Transfer] button.
CFD Copy Trading Leader trading panel, tap the [Transfer] button.
APP bottom navigation bar > Assets > Copy Trading > CFD Copy Trading Leader, tap the [Transfer] button.
After tapping transfer from any of the above, you'll enter the transfer interface. Currently, CFD Copy Trading Leader transfers only support transfers from Spot accounts to CFD Copy Trading Leader accounts.
3. Initiate Trades
Once the transfer is complete, select any trading pair on the CFD trading panel and enter the K-line page to start copy trading.
CFD Copy Trading Leader Profit Sharing
1. Profit Sharing Rules
After becoming a CFD Copy Trading Leader, when others follow and copy your trades, you may earn profit-sharing rewards if followers generate profits. For details on profit-sharing calculation and distribution rules, refer to the link below:

2. Profit Sharing Ratio Range
Upon becoming a Leader, the system will automatically set your profit-sharing ratio to 20%. The currently supported range is 0%–20%. You can go to My Leader > Leader Settings to set your preferred profit-sharing ratio within this range.
3. How to View Profit Sharing Details
Visit the CFD Copy Trading "My Leader" section and tap on Realized Profit Sharing to enter the details page. Here, you can view each profit-sharing transaction and see the amount shared by each follower during their copy trading cycle.
4. Profit Sharing Settlement Cycle
Profit sharing is settled weekly according to UTC+8. The system automatically calculates the week's profit sharing every Sunday at 00:00, and distributes it to Leader accounts no later than the following Monday at 23:59:59.
Other Common Questions for Copy Trading Leaders
1. Can I apply to become a CFD Copy Trading Leader if I already have a CFD trading account?
The main account's CFD trading account and Leader account are independent. Whether or not your main account has enabled TradFi trading does not affect your eligibility to apply for CFD Copy Trading Leader. Similarly, having a TradFi Leader account does not affect your main account's eligibility to open a CFD trading account.
2. What is the maximum number of followers allowed?
Currently, each Leader can have up to 300 followers. If you need more, please contact online customer support to request additional slots.
3. What are the minimum and maximum copy trading amounts for followers?
After becoming a Leader, the system will automatically set the minimum copy trading amount to 100 USDT. The supported range is a minimum of 100 USDT and a maximum of 1,000,000 USD. You can go to My Leader > Leader Settings to adjust the minimum copy trading amount according to these rules.
