I've joined several silver spot trading groups, and the sentiment has clearly declined significantly over the past few days. It's gone from everyone experiencing FOMO at the beginning to just a few scattered comments now, filled with anxiety about buying the dip. People are constantly asking the group admin for quotes every day.
On January 30th when silver crashed, the sentiment was still very high. Most people thought it was time to buy the dip and believed it was just a shakeout. But after just one month of volatility, the sentiment has noticeably diverged.
I plan to visit jewelry stores when I have time to do some on-the-ground research. I think when retail investors truly lose hope, that's when it will be a good time to buy the dip in gold and silver.
