Gate IPO Access Service

Gate has officially launched its new IPO Access feature, expanding the platform’s investment product lineup and giving users the opportunity to participate in the subscription phase before a company goes public. With this service, users can submit their subscription intent prior to a company’s official listing and, based on the final allocation results, may receive all, part, or none of the shares they applied for.

Once the IPO is completed and shares are successfully allocated, those shares are distributed directly to the user’s Gate stock account. Users can then trade these shares through Gate’s U.S. stock trading feature, creating a seamless, one-stop investment experience from IPO subscription to secondary market trading.

Gate IPO Access Now Open

Traditional IPO investing typically involves high barriers to entry, making it difficult for many investors to access pre-listing subscription opportunities. Gate’s IPO Access service aims to bridge this gap, creating a comprehensive pathway from pre-IPO investment opportunities to public market trading.

During the subscription period, users can submit their intent to subscribe using USDT. After the IPO allocation results are confirmed, the platform will distribute shares based on the actual allocation received. Successfully allocated shares will be credited directly to the user’s Gate stock account and can be traded once the stock officially lists. The stock trading feature is currently supported on App version v8.21.5 and above.

First Project: SpaceX

The debut project for IPO Access is SpaceX. Founded by Elon Musk in 2002, SpaceX is dedicated to advancing commercial aerospace technology, focusing on reusable rockets, the Starlink satellite network, and related space technology applications. If SpaceX completes its IPO, the stock will be available directly on Gate’s stock platform, offering real stock trading services. Through this IPO Access opportunity, users can submit subscription requests before SpaceX goes public and participate in potential share allocations.

SpaceX IPO Access Subscription Details

For this IPO Access event, users can participate in the SpaceX share subscription using USDT. The reference subscription price is $135 per share, with the final price determined by the actual IPO pricing. Users who receive an allocation will pay a 5% subscription fee. Based on the reference price, the total cost per share is approximately 141.75 USDT, but the actual amount will depend on the final issue price.

The minimum participation amount is 100 USDT, and the maximum per user is 500,000 USDT. Once you complete your subscription intent and receive a share allocation, the shares will be distributed directly to your Gate stock account—no additional conversion or withdrawal is required, and you can trade the shares on the Gate stock market. There is no lock-up period for allocated shares; they are 100% unlocked upon distribution. Please note that to use the stock trading feature, you must update the Gate App to version v8.21.5 or later.

How to Participate in the SpaceX IPO Access

Users can complete their subscriptions via the web or app:

Homepage → Wealth Management → IPO Access → Select SpaceX → Subscribe with USDT → Click "Subscribe Now"

When calculating allocation weights, earlier participation receives higher weighting. Therefore, the time you subscribe will affect your final allocation opportunity.

How Does the Share Allocation Mechanism Work?

IPO Access uses the average locked amount as the primary basis for allocation. The system calculates each user’s hourly average locked amount throughout the subscription period, then allocates shares proportionally based on each user’s share of the total average subscription amount.

The calculation formula is:

Hourly Average Locked Amount = Total Hourly Locked Snapshots ÷ Total Subscription Period Hours (66 hours)

Because the system uses a full-period average, subscribing earlier and maintaining your locked amount increases your allocation weight.

For example, if three users each commit 100,000 USDT:

  • User A commits in the first hour of the event, with an average locked amount of 100,000 USDT.
  • User B commits at hour 33, with an average locked amount of 50,000 USDT.
  • User C only participates in the final hour, with an average locked amount of about 1,515 USDT.

All else being equal, earlier participants receive higher allocation weights.

Allocation and Fund Handling

This event is an intent-based subscription. Submitting an application does not guarantee a share allocation. Final results may be full allocation, partial allocation, or no allocation. Actual distribution depends on the IPO’s final offering size and the allocation Gate receives. The reference price is for guidance only. If the final IPO price differs from the reference price by less than 20%, the system will proceed with allocation directly. If the price changes by more than 20%, the platform will initiate a second confirmation process.

During the subscription period, your committed funds will be frozen and cannot be traded, withdrawn, or transferred. After allocation, the system will deduct the amount for the shares you receive, and any unused funds will be automatically unlocked and returned to your spot account. The minimum share distribution unit is 0.01 shares; the system will round or supplement to the minimum unit as per the rules.

Important Notes Before Participating

Before joining Gate IPO Access, users must complete KYC identity verification. This event does not support the following accounts or funding sources: borrowed funds, institutional accounts, or sub-accounts. IPO investing and the stock market involve certain risks, including market price fluctuations, liquidity changes, technical factors, and regulatory considerations. Users should fully understand the project background and associated risks before deciding whether to participate.

This event is intent-based; submitting an application may still result in no allocation. Final results depend on the actual issuance and the allocation Gate receives.

Summary

With the launch of Gate IPO Access, users can access more pre-IPO investment opportunities and complete the entire process—from IPO subscription to share distribution and subsequent trading—on the platform. The first SpaceX project marks the debut of a highly anticipated aerospace technology company entering the Gate ecosystem through IPO Access, further connecting crypto assets with global capital market investment opportunities.
