## BTC: “Cannot be controlled eternally”

In an interview with Simply Bitcoin on April 24, Prince Philip of the Serbian royal family predicted that the current price of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) has been deliberately suppressed and that there will be a big spike in the future. Prince Philip is known as a Bitcoin promoter.

In an interview recorded in early April, Prince Philip stated, “The market in 2021 was somewhat controlled. The price surge was suppressed, but a similar situation may occur in 2025.” He further mentioned, “At some point, the price will go out of control. It cannot be controlled forever,” referring to the potential occurrence of the “Omega Candle” proposed by Bitcoin advocate Samson Mow.

The Omega Candle is a hypothesis that Bitcoin will show explosive growth after surpassing $100,000. While Prince Philip has been cautious about the specific timing, he expressed the view that Bitcoin’s value will continue to rise in the long term. “I am satisfied with the current price and believe it will continue to grow. The design philosophy of Bitcoin is to keep rising even without the sharp spikes seen in the past,” he said.

The interview also discussed the importance of the United States’ strategic adoption of Bitcoin, the regulatory experiments with Bitcoin in Thailand, the case of Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador, the expanding participation of institutional investors, and the lagging interest of individual investors. Prince Philip also pointed out the potential of Bitcoin mining to support renewable energy projects.

Prince Philip Karađorđević of Serbia is the second son of Crown Prince Alexander of the Serbian Royal Family and has recently been active in the international cryptocurrency community as a supporter of Bitcoin. In an interview, he also commented that a Bitcoin standard could potentially restructure the economies of various countries.
