According to Bloomberg, the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), Yip Wai-ching, and Legislative Council member Wu Jiezhuang have been removed from the guest list of the Bitcoin Asia Summit held from August 28-29. An archived page previously showed that they were originally scheduled to be speakers, but they chose to withdraw after receiving a notice advising against contact with Eric Trump. Trump's second son, Eric Trump, is one of the event's guests, currently serving as the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and involved in several U.S. encryption projects. The SFC responded that Yip could not attend due to a business trip, while Wu Jiezhuang stated that he canceled his schedule for family reasons. Currently, the SFC's Financial Technology Policy Manager, Shen Zhiliang, has been named as the substitute speaker. An expert with connections to Beijing stated that this directive was to avoid "collaborating or flattering Trump."
