The heart of the Ethereum ecosystem will beat in ETHIstanbul.

ETHIstanbul, which will be held as part of Builders Week Istanbul, will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Rami Library from 09:00 to 18:00. The ETHIstanbul event will bring together the dynamic community of the Ethereum network, developers, and Web3 companies.

Vision

ETHIstanbul aims to connect Turkey's young engineering potential and academic accumulation directly with leading figures in the global Ethereum ecosystem. As part of Builders Week, the conference offers collaboration, recruitment, and joint project development opportunities across the value chain from research to product, and from prototype to company.

Scope of the Ecosystem

Throughout the day, the latest approaches to topics such as scalability, MEV and transaction ordering, wallet experience, ZK proofs, stablecoin designs, and multi-chain liquidity will be discussed. Alongside events like Cryptist, Bitcoin++, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Day, and LightSEC, which will be held in the same week as Builders Week, Istanbul is becoming a multidisciplinary and multi-protocol meeting point.

Younger — OpeningThe opening of the day will present a framework regarding the developer experience and the Ethereum roadmap, which is the focus of the program. It will summarize the flow of the day and the main topics for the participants.

**Arnaud Schenk — Co-Founder | “Practical Privacy”**Will address design principles and the developer toolchain for application-oriented privacy solutions. Will focus on the scale-security balance in real use cases.

Miszke — “Based Appchains: Synchronous Composability” It will describe new design spaces for developers through synchronous composability in application-specific chains. It will discuss inter-ecosystem integration and performance metrics.

**Melike Keçelioğlu — Technical Product Owner | “AI × Stablecoins”**She will evaluate data, risk, and product opportunities at the intersection of artificial intelligence and stablecoin infrastructures. She will address use cases and the compliance framework.

Akaki Mamageishvili — Researcher | “Transaction Ordering: Timeboost vs. PGA” He will compare the Timeboost and PGA approaches in transaction ordering policies. He will examine fairness, efficiency, and MEV dynamics with examples.

Don Mills — Product Lead | “Unlocking Multichain Liquidity with Avail Nexus” Will explain how multichain liquidity is integrated with Avail Nexus. It will focus on bridging, security assumptions, and user flows.

Toghrul Maharramov — Researcher | “Everything Is a PSYOP” Maharramov is conducting research on bridge design and protocol decentralization in the Scroll ecosystem. With a background in computer science, he has been working full-time in crypto since 2018.

Filip Pajló — Engineer | "Gas to Zero" He will share architectural and protocol layer solutions that minimize transaction fees. He will address user experience and sustainable cost models.

**Sami — DevRel | “MEGAETH: Unapologetically Performant”**Will introduce the technical boundaries and developer toolkit of the high-performance focused MEGAETH approach. It will address optimizations in the node, network, and execution layers.

**Nicky Chelebi — CBO | “Permissioned Shards × Public DeFi: <1s Atomic Settlement”**He will explain the designs that combine permissioned shard architectures with public DeFi in the context of "atomic settlement". He will share the technical/operational requirements of the <1 second target.

**Burak Öz — Researcher | “Cross-Chain Arbitrage: Next Frontier of MEV”**Will address the new horizons of MEV in cross-chain arbitrage through case studies. It will discuss liquidity routing, latency, and bridge risks.

Kassandra — Engineer | “Wallets 2.0: Next-Gen Ethereum UX” Will offer account abstraction and secure onboarding solutions in wallet experience. Will share ways to reach the masses in Web3 with Web2-like flows.

**Istvan Andreas Seres — PhD | “Mysterious Cool New Paper”**He will shed light on consensus and security metrics by explaining the findings of his new research. He will summarize the roadmap from theory to application.

**Defi Dave — Head of Growth | “The Dawn of Type III Stablecoins”**Will explain the product/economy dimension and application areas of Type III stablecoin design. Will highlight the topics of resilience, liquidity, and risk management.

**Martinet Lee — Head of DevRel | “Designing a Security-Focused Sequencer”**He will share threat modeling and operational guidelines in the design of a security-focused sequencer. He will provide architectural suggestions with a minimum security assumption in the rollup ecosystem.

Furkan Doğan — Product Lead | "Scaling Perpetual Trading with ZK Proofs" He will introduce solutions that address scalability and security together with ZK proofs in futures trading. He will present the results in terms of latency, liquidity, and user experience.

Fisher Yu — Co-Founder & CTO | Babylon: Bringing Native BTC to the World The Co-Founder and CTO of @babylonlabs_io, @baby_fisherman will participate in ETHIstanbul. In his talk titled “Babylon: Bringing Native BTC to the World”, we will listen to how Bitcoin can play a critical role in the security of Proof-of-Stake chains and how Babylon unlocks this potential.
