HSBC raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 index to 6,500 points.

According to Mars Finance, as reported by Jin10, HSBC has issued a report stating that following the beginning of August, it has once again raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 Index from 6,400 points to 6,500 points. HSBC indicated that corporate performance momentum in the second quarter is strong, particularly in technology and financial stocks, with companies reporting a moderate impact from tariffs. Additionally, HSBC expects the Fed to reduce interest rates in September, with a total expected reduction of 0.75 percentage points by 2026. HSBC has also raised its earnings per share growth forecast for the index this year from 9% to 12%.
