Abstract generation in progress

After withdrawing the nomination of Trump’s Brian Quintenz, the White House is actively seeking a permanent chair for the CFTC, and former chair Chris Giancarlo has expressed optimism about the incoming candidates. Acting chair Caroline Pham continues to push for crypto-friendly policies but may leave soon, which could expose the single-member committee to legal challenges. The SEC's top candidate Mike Selig and other candidates are awaiting Senate confirmation, while the CFTC's role in crypto regulation is expanding based on pending legislation. Due to the government shutdown, the Senate is facing delays, and although there is bipartisan support in the House, the completion of the Digital Asset Market Clarification Act is still pushed back until the end of the year.
