The Courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre are taking a leap into the future. They have integrated blockchain and AI into their mediation and notary services. It's quite revolutionary.

The new Mediation Services Center offers an alternative for resolving disputes. The parties choose mediators and agree on terms in advance. They can meet online or in person. The system uses AI.

The most interesting thing is the notarial service on the Hedera blockchain. It seems to be the first of its kind in the UAE. Notaries from the DIFC can take oaths and certify documents in English. There are automated, live virtual, or in-person options.

The Hedera blockchain protects documents. It converts them into ERC20 compatible verifiable credentials. It is not entirely clear how, but it apparently maintains user privacy.

This follows the Digital Assets Testament based on Hedera launched in 2024. It allows the distribution of digital assets with a DIFC wallet.

The DIFC continues to innovate in legal and financial matters. It demonstrates Dubai's commitment to modern and efficient judicial solutions. It is somewhat surprising how quickly they are advancing.
