Amazon Zoox launches free robotaxis in Las Vegas

Zoox, part of Amazon, has launched free rides in robotaxis along the Las Vegas Strip and its surroundings. It seems like a step towards state approval to charge. Competition is on the way.

Zoox robotaxis are unique. No steering wheel or pedals. Face-to-face seating. Huge windows. Stunning view.

Aicha Evans, the boss, says they want to stand out. They want people to get used to it. The comments are gold.

Jesse Levinson, the technical brain, is surprised. Thousands of passengers every week. Only from one point. Next stop: San Francisco. They are already testing there.

The world of robotaxis is not easy. Tough regulations. Federal investigations. Zoox is still standing. One of the few that remain in the race.

Waymo from Alphabet and Tesla are also going all out. Different cities. The industry doesn't stop. Challenges everywhere. But it continues to progress.
