On October 22, according to court documents, Melania Trump, the wife of Trump, is being accused of the executives of the token issuance company Meteora, which launched the Meme coin MELANIA in January, of organizing the token issuance while knowing that a big dump would occur. On January 19, the day before Trump was inaugurated as President of the United States, the Meme coin MELANIA was issued at a low price of a few cents per coin, then surged to $13.73, with the current price being less than one percent of its peak. Investors accuse the executives of the initial issuance platform Meteora of orchestrating a plan to engage in dumping for massive profits while causing the price to fall sharply. According to an investigation published last week by the Financial Times, the Trump family has made over $1 billion in pre-tax profits through various Crypto Assets-related products and companies in the past 12 months. In the latest court filings submitted in the Southern District of New York, the plaintiffs stated that they do not believe First Lady Melania is 'guilty,' but accuse the cryptocurrency company of using her and other celebrities as the 'facade' for their crimes. Meteora has not yet responded to requests for comment.
