Don't remind me again today

Oracle stock keeps getting hammered. Here's what's driving the sell-off:

First off, investors are getting jittery about Oracle's OpenAI exposure. The partnership looked sexy on paper, but the risk-reward equation isn't sitting right with the market anymore.

Then there's the bigger shift happening. Money's rotating hard into companies that actually own their AI infrastructure — think Google. These players have clean balance sheets and clearer paths to monetize their AI bets. Oracle? They're spending borrowed money to chase the AI wave. Different risk profile entirely.

And finally, the whole tech sector's facing headwinds on duration assets. When rates stay elevated, high-growth plays with backend-loaded returns just don't pencil out the same way.

The selling pressure isn't easing up. Markets are repricing what AI exposure actually means for different business models.

Sigh, Oracle really dropped the ball this time. Borrowing money to chase trends, it's obvious what's going on. Google has its own resources, while Oracle can only get the leftovers. The market sees everything clearly.

Oracle’s drop this time is pretty brutal... To put it simply, the market is starting to see things clearly: borrowing money to chase the AI trend just can’t compete with Google, which truly controls the infrastructure. The OpenAI partnership sounds sexy, but in reality, it was just a gamble—and now they’ve lost the bet. With interest rates not coming down, it’s always been hard to make the numbers work with this kind of profit model.

Oracle's recent actions are quite harsh... To put it bluntly, the market is starting to settle accounts, and the game of borrowing money to chase trends can no longer be played. The real winners are the companies that hold the infrastructure, like Google, right? They have a solid foundation. Oracle has the name of OpenAI, but they have to rely on leveraging to compete, and the odds are clearly not favorable. Interest rates have not decreased, so how long can high-growth stocks be trapped... I think this round is not over yet.

ORCL is indeed having a tough time this round. After the hype from the collaboration with OpenAI, there hasn't been any follow-up.

Oracle has really been hit hard this time. To put it bluntly, the market is no longer buying this. On the Google side, they have their own infrastructure, while Oracle is just relying on borrowing money to chase trends; the risks are completely different. With such high Intrerest Rates, the valuation of high rise things has to be slashed. This is a death loop.

Oracle really took a hard hit this time. Honestly, borrowing money to chase the AI trend is a strategy that's likely to backfire.
