Don't remind me again today

Starting New Year's Day 2026, crypto platforms doing business in the U.K. will face a whole new compliance headache. The tax folks at HMRC just rolled out requirements that'll force these exchanges to grab complete transaction records from every single U.K.-based user. Here's the kicker - they've got until 2027 to hand over all that data so HMRC can basically play detective and match it against what people are actually reporting on their tax returns. The endgame? Closing the gaps on crypto tax evasion that's been flying under the radar.

The recent tax storm in the UK has been quite severe. Starting in 2026, all user data on trading profits must be submitted, and it feels like the days of tax evasion in the crypto world are coming to an end.

Damn, the UK is about to pull out all the people in the crypto world... --- They have to submit it before 2027, feels like there's no way to escape now --- HMRC is really ruthless, they're going to catch all those who evade taxes --- Compliance costs are going to rise again, how can small exchanges cope --- The tax office has set its sights on us, someone should have reminded us to keep accounts --- Now those who honestly report their taxes are the ones losing out, uh... --- With the UK making this move, will the EU and the US follow suit?

Wow, is the UK trying to expose everyone? Starting from 2026, they want all trading records to be handed over? This is basically forcing exchanges to act as informants...

Wow, the UK is really going to expose crypto users one by one, this is crazy. The days of tax evasion are coming to an end, guys, get mentally prepared. Starting from 2026, it’s going to be nailed down, and by then the platform won't dare to not report data. HMRC's methods are a bit harsh... but then again, tax can't be escaped. We're going to be checked as a group again, if I had known, I would have operated less. Damn, more regulation... when will this circle be quiet? Platforms are going to start going crazy with Compliance, user privacy is gone, that's for sure. Now we really need to keep a ledger, it's going to be transparent to grandma's house. Brothers who need to pay taxes should prepare quickly, 2026 is really coming. Actually, it should have been like this long ago, there are always people evading taxes and dragging everyone down.

Wow, the UK is really serious this time, with full regulation coming in 2026, and trading profits must be reported. By 2027, all records need to be submitted to HMRC, so those tax evaders better be careful... but honestly, it was about time to regulate this. The UK is really tough on this, directly turning exchanges into their informants; it's going to be hard to evade taxes... Are you panicking? Anyway, I haven't done anything wrong, just feel like my privacy has vanished. HMRC is planning to turn the crypto world upside down; exchanges are going to be swamped starting in 2026. But thinking about it, it makes sense; the regulars are coming in, and the wild methods need to be curbed... UK exchanges really have no way out.
