The InfoFi hype cycle is revealing uncomfortable truths about the space. Turns out genuine influence doesn't carry the weight many assumed it would. Yet here's the thing—bot-inflated follower counts and paid promotion schemes will persist. They're too profitable to abandon. The infrastructure enabling hollow clout is deeply embedded. Still, there's something refreshing about watching the market correct its own illusions. A reality check the ecosystem probably needed.

To be honest, this fake prosperity show should have collapsed long ago, it's basically a collective awakening process.

At the end of the day, it's still a money issue. No matter how much you fantasize, you can't change human nature.

I've been through it all. The scam in 2018 is now being repackaged under a different guise, called InfoFi. Essentially, it's still a Ponzi scheme. Bot followers and fake hype? This trick borrowed from micro-businesses can never truly disappear. As long as project teams can still harvest a new wave of investors, the infrastructure can never be dismantled.
