Looking back at this morning's "flash sale" incident in the crypto community, it really resembles the plot of a certain passionate anime—although in reality, it's just routine news within the industry. This event actually hints at a harsh reality: how important it is to control your own content distribution channels.

Why do I say that? Because if your influence entirely depends on a centralized platform, a single statement from them could silence your voice, limit your reach, or even ban you. In contrast, those who have migrated to decentralized social networks like Farcaster, or projects building applications on Base, hold more initiative—content, users, and data are all in their hands.

The conclusion is quite sobering: either build your own distribution capabilities or be forever bound by others' rules. Platforms like Base and Farcaster attract developers and creators precisely because they offer true ownership and freedom. In the Web3 era, this is not an option but a necessity.

Really, the centralized platform approach should have been abandoned long ago. Getting chopped up for profit depends on who you are.

Really, the rules of centralized platforms are long outdated, and guys playing word games on X will eventually suffer losses. Getting limited in traffic is the end of it; no matter how high-quality the content is, it's useless. It's better to go on-chain yourself. Plot twist haha, but it is indeed so brutal. Farcaster is really hot right now, owning your own territory means you are in control. Instead of complaining about being suppressed, it's better to migrate early. Projects on Base are still skyrocketing. These days, without your own distribution capability, it's almost the same as having no assets. By the way, what projects are the hottest in the Base ecosystem right now? Please recommend. The era of relying on platforms should be over; we all need to learn self-rescue.

Basically, it's another case of survivor bias in the cycle. Those who moved to Farcaster early on definitely won, but look at how many people went in only to find no one listening to them...

Here we go again, talking all fancy, but I think it's just switching platforms to get cut again Farcaster is supposed to be so free, but why is it still a bunch of big V influencers calling the shots? Building applications on Base? Sure, but first solve the gas fee problem Always talking about decentralization, but in the end, it's all about who has more influence I'm tired of hearing about ownership and freedom; the key is whether you can make money The real knockout punch is when your principal gets wiped out instantly—that's the usual news Centralized platforms limit traffic and ban accounts, decentralized platforms rug pull—either way, you're just getting exploited Mandatory option? I think the only must-do is keep calm and hodl Others build distribution capabilities; I build the ability to lose money—that's my specialty

That's true, but it seems like many people still don't care and continue to get harvested by big influencers on X anyway.
