## Jollibee Group Achieves Operational Sustainability Through Improved International ESG Ratings

Jollibee Group has gained global recognition for its sustainability commitment by obtaining an MSCI ESG rating of BBB. This achievement indicates a significant improvement in managing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities across the company's international operations. The MSCI ESG rating, developed by leading financial analysis firm MSCI, measures a company's performance in managing financially relevant ESG factors compared to industry peers. Its scale ranges from CCC (lowest) to AAA (highest).

Pepot Miñana, Chief Sustainability Officer of the Global Jollibee Group, stated that this achievement reflects the collective dedication of the entire team in driving measurable ESG impact and adopting global best practices. "We see sustainability as an ongoing journey, and this momentum will be used to continue our commitment to learning, collaboration, and innovation, while spreading joy and shaping a more sustainable future," he said.

### The Three Main Pillars Supporting Jollibee’s Sustainability

This achievement is supported by the "Joyful Tomorrow" sustainability agenda focusing on three main pillars—Food, People, and Planet—aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

**Food Pillar**

Jollibee Group implements strict food safety protocols by conducting over 11,788 food safety, hygiene, and condition audits across outlets. These efforts have resulted in a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 93, far exceeding the industry standard of only 50 points.

**People Pillar**

In the human resource development dimension, the group received the Gallup Workplace Excellence Award for the third time. Additionally, Jollibee partnered with local government units to recruit 400 elderly and disabled residents. Its commitment to an inclusive supply chain is also reflected in the engagement of 1,237 small farmers who supply products directly to Jollibee Group. The group also received the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Award and a 1-Golden Arrow recognition for three consecutive years.

**Planet Pillar**

Environmental sustainability efforts include installing 16,800 solar panels at manufacturing facilities in the Philippines, generating 9.1 megawatts of clean energy. Jollibee Group also successfully diverted 62% of waste from landfills in manufacturing operations and plans to plant 21,500 mangrove propagules in 2024.

### Industry Recognition and Sustainable Impact

Through strengthening initiatives and ongoing engagement with employees, partners, and stakeholders, Jollibee Group achieved first place in the Sustainability Perception Index 2025 among all Filipino brands. This position also places the company among the leading global restaurant brands in the same ranking by Brand Finance.

Additionally, the group received the 3G Excellence in Sustainability Reporting Award in June and earned a bronze award at the Asian Sustainability Reporting Awards in October. These various awards demonstrate the significant impact of sustainability reporting on Jollibee Group’s operational agenda, reflecting a continuous commitment to creating long-term positive impacts for communities and business operations.
