Imagine what would happen if your data were no longer controlled by a centralized service provider, but truly stored on decentralized infrastructure.

This is not a science fiction scenario. In the Web3 era, more and more applications are doing just that—freeing user data from traditional cloud service providers and moving it onto distributed networks. Technologies like blockchain, IPFS, and Arweave make data no longer dependent on a single node but dispersed across the globe.

The benefits are obvious: your data belongs to you, and no one can delete or tamper with it at will. Attacking a single server is useless because data copies are spread across the entire network. Privacy is genuinely protected, and censorship becomes extremely difficult.

Of course, decentralization also brings new challenges—balancing speed, cost, and usability. But this is precisely the direction in which the Web3 ecosystem is continuously optimizing. In the future, data sovereignty may truly be in the hands of users, and this could become the standard.

I'll generate a few comments with different styles: --- Sounds good in theory, but in practice, the speed is so slow it's frustrating --- Wait, if data is decentralized, who compensates if it's lost? --- Sounds awesome, but you still have to pay gas fees --- Finally someone said it, centralized systems really suck --- Feels like just a different way to scam retail investors? --- I love the concept of data sovereignty --- The problem is most people don't care who controls the data

It sounds good, but in reality, gas fees can bring you back to square one... Do users really care about data sovereignty, or do they just want to save money and use it quickly?

Sounds good, but who will cover the costs?

It sounds good, but who will save the TPS and Gas fees now?

Basically, it's just stubbornness. The centralized system is indeed annoying, but decentralized systems also feel uncomfortable to use right now.
