I've experienced too many cycles like this. Whenever institutions begin large-scale adoption of a sector, retail investors' FOMO is ignited. You'll see various projects claiming "institutional backing," saying anything and promising everything. But how many projects truly get selected by institutions? One in a million.

The key is to distinguish between projects genuinely involved by institutions and those just riding the hype. The characteristics of institutions are looking at cycles, fundamentals, and having an exit plan. They won't chase after trash projects. If a project is constantly touting "institutions are about to enter" in the community, it's probably just a marketing tactic by the whales.

The current advice is simple: use the overall direction of institutional deployment (AI and digitalization are indeed trends) to find projects with solid fundamentals, but remain skeptical of promises about individual projects. Check the white paper, review the team’s background, see if there’s real product progress—if these are missing, no amount of institutional backing will help. Surviving this wave depends on vigilance, not following the crowd.
