Recently, since X shut down API access, the entire community has noticeably calmed down. Interestingly, project teams have divided in their attitudes toward snapshots.

Some projects explicitly announced that contributions before the snapshot closure would be counted, while others are completely unaffected and go their own way.

The Ferra project is quite special. It doesn't rely solely on X for content distribution but directly embeds the social layer into the protocol design. Through the Feeds and LCM mechanism, user contributions are no longer tied to a single platform but become verifiable on-chain assets. This approach indeed avoids the uncertainties caused by fluctuations in external platforms.

From another perspective, this might be the direction that many new projects should consider—how to redefine social interaction and incentives on Web3 infrastructure, rather than always relying on existing platforms.

This is the true decentralized approach, no longer being choked by the platform.

Bro, only now do you remember decentralized social after X died? Why didn't you do it earlier? Ferra's setup does have some potential, but it still feels too early. Can on-chain verifiability completely replace platform popularity? Snapshot really is competitive—some projects offer crazy rewards, while others act like they didn't see anything, haha. Honestly, it still depends on who can keep users engaged. Having a mechanism alone is useless if no one uses it. Web3 social is probably going to be a long journey; let's just watch and see for now. Relying on platforms is truly a original sin, but those who build their own ecosystems tend to die pretty fast... If Ferra can really pull this off, that would be awesome, but I still have some doubts.

Haha, as soon as X closes the API circle, it becomes calm? It shows that everyone is just surviving on the platform. Ferra's gameplay is indeed interesting; on-chain verifiability means no fear of platform betrayal. I’ve learned this trick. Instead of daily snapshot battles, it's better to think about how to break free from platform constraints. Otherwise, it will just be another wave of layoffs sooner or later. Embedded social features in protocols? Sounds like someone finally understands, but it depends on whether it can sustain itself in the future. This idea is good, but I’m just worried that the people getting on board will be another wave of rookies. Platform fluctuations are unavoidable for everyone. Unless truly independent, it’s all just illusions. Projects dependent on platforms should have reflected long ago, or they’ll just be waiting to be harvested. Feeds plus LCM? I didn’t quite understand the details, but from a chain-free perspective, this direction is correct. I’m a bit looking forward to Ferra’s future. If it really becomes a Web3 social platform, it will be different. Another promise to change the game rules. Let’s see how long it can survive first. Finally, someone is not relying on X for survival. It’s either progress or despair.

Honestly, the closure of X API has forced many projects to reveal their true colors. Ferra's approach is indeed interesting—integrating social features into the protocol itself, so there's truly no fear of platform risk. Finally, someone has realized that we can't always be led by existing platforms. On-chain verifiability is much more reliable than traditional snapshots; support for this kind of approach is necessary. In plain terms, we must take control of our own destiny; otherwise, every platform change means starting over.
