Many of you dream of the same things as I'm working towards.
A simple life away from the city, in touch with nature, time to spend with those you love.
If the past years have taught me anything - it's far less expensive than you may think. - you just gotta learn to live on less.
There are things you think you need, that you actually don't - or can replace with alternatives that cost less.
Cars are a great example. If you want the simple life (and perhaps you'll learn that you don't! Thats ok!) you don't need the newest, fanciest ride. Cars are tools for transportation - nothing more.
Personally we continue eating out frequently, but we generally stop at comfort food places rather than Michelin level restaurants. We don't care to impress people with pictures of our food, we want to have a good time together.
You'll find there are things worth spending on - things that bring your life enjoyment, and things that aren't.
Living below your means is one of the biggest cheat codes in personal finance, because once you get the hang of it - you take that with you, even when your income grows.
Find those areas where you can cut costs, use the savings to get yourself closer to that goal - whether thats working fewer hours a week, or moving to a bigger property.
One step at a time fellas.
