L3Harris Technologies has secured a full-rate production contract from General Dynamics Electric Boat to provide 26 shipsets of submarine communications systems for the U.S. Navy’s Virginia- and Columbia-class submarines. This follow-on award covers production through 2033 and includes potential support for future Columbia-class platforms and allied navies. The systems aim to enhance crew communication and situational awareness while maintaining low observability for submarine operations.
