According to the latest exclusive observation by the main station reporter, since the U.S.-Israel military action against Iran on February 28, more than 600 Chinese citizens have been safely evacuated from Iran. In an extremely severe security situation, the Chinese Embassy in Iran has maintained continuous contact with Chinese citizens in Iran, informing them of the situation changes, planning evacuation routes, and resolving practical difficulties. This includes assisting Chinese compatriots with car rentals, tracking the convoy’s movements until they safely arrive at the relevant ports, and successfully coordinating with the embassy’s port operations team. Additionally, for some Chinese citizens in Iran whose passports are being processed by local authorities and cannot be retrieved promptly after the outbreak of war, the Chinese Embassy in Iran actively assisted by issuing travel documents as quickly as possible to ensure the smooth and safe evacuation of Chinese nationals. Furthermore, overseas Chinese organizations played an important role in this evacuation operation. Key personnel from local Chinese communities proactively cooperated with the embassy to assist Chinese citizens in evacuating amid tense circumstances and completed related tasks. (CCTV News)
