Michigan regulators have approved DTE Electric’s 200-megawatt Deckerville solar project, marking a significant step in the state’s commitment to renewable energy. This utility-scale solar development in Michigan’s Thumb region will provide clean energy, supporting both state sustainability goals and a special power contract with Ford Motor Company. The project is expected to be operational by Q4 2028 and will contribute to DTE Electric’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, offering employment opportunities during its construction.
