According to SolanaFloor, Solana governance proposal SIMD-0266 has been approved. The proposal, submitted by Anza last year, introduces a new p-tokens model to improve computational efficiency, which theoretically could increase Solana's transaction efficiency by up to approximately 19 times. The VP of Technology at Solana Foundation stated that the upgrade is expected to go live on mainnet in April.
