Jingzhou Economic Development Zone adds a new force to the chemical new materials industry. On the morning of March 14, the Glycine Production Base of XinQian (Jingzhou) New Materials Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony. Wang Xiaoqiang, Chairman of the Board and President of XinQian Group, attended the event.

This project is a new production base planned by XinQian Group in the Economic Development Zone after nearly two years of selection. The project plans to produce 60,000 tons of industrial-grade and 40,000 tons of food-grade glycine annually, with completion and operation expected by January 2027.

Wang Xiaoqiang stated that the groundbreaking of the glycine production base is a milestone in XinQian’s development history and marks a new beginning of cooperation with the Economic Development Zone. The company will adhere to the construction philosophy of “high standards, high requirements, high efficiency,” strictly control engineering quality, safety, and project management, and strive to build a green, intelligent, and efficient modern glycine production base. Leveraging XinQian’s advantages in technology, capital, and market, the base will become the core production facility for XinQian’s layout in Central China, aiming to become the world’s largest food-grade glycine manufacturing plant. With high-quality products, advanced technology, and comprehensive services, the company will enhance its core competitiveness, deeply integrate into Jingzhou’s industrial development, improve the industrial chain, and inject new momentum into the upgrading of Jingzhou’s chemical new materials industry. This will contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of Jingzhou.

A relevant person from the Investment Promotion Center of the Economic Development Zone said that the project’s implementation is not only a strategic move for XinQian Group to improve its domestic layout and extend its industrial chain but also a key project for Jingzhou and the zone to accelerate the development of new productive forces and promote the high-end, green, and intelligent transformation of the chemical new materials industry. The zone will continue to serve as the “chief service officer,” adhering to the service philosophy of “responding to calls and not disturbing without reason,” providing the highest standards, the most practical measures, and the strongest support to ensure the smooth progress of the project.

It is expected that XinQian Group will leverage its role as a leading enterprise to attract more upstream and downstream high-quality companies to the zone, jointly extend, supplement, and strengthen the industrial chain, and create a more competitive new industrial ecosystem.

It is understood that XinQian Group specializes in the production and sales of food additives, mainly producing high-intensity sweeteners like sucralose, food-grade and industrial-grade glycine, functional sweeteners, isomaltitol, and natural products such as curcumin. Its products are sold in over 60 countries worldwide, making it the largest producer of sucralose in China and among the top five globally, and a benchmark in the fields of food-grade, pharmaceutical-grade, and industrial-grade glycine.
