Beijing Business Daily (Reporter He Yue) — On March 16, the National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that from January to February, the national service industry production index increased by 5.2% year-on-year, accelerating by 0.2 percentage points compared to December of the previous year.

By industry, the production indices for information transmission, software and information technology services, leasing and business services, finance, transportation, warehousing, postal services, accommodation, and catering industries grew by 10.1%, 8.2%, 7.0%, 6.3%, and 5.4%, respectively.

In February, the service industry business activity index was 49.7%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month; the service industry business activity expectation index was 55.8%. Among them, the business activity indices for accommodation, catering, cultural, sports, and entertainment industries remained above 60.0%, indicating a high level of prosperity.
