U.S. military refueling aircraft performing a mission in Iraq lands in Tel Aviv, with some wings damaged.

The main station reporter learned that, according to Israel, on the 13th local time a U.S. military KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft that was on a mission in Iraq on the 12th had landed at Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Photos from the scene show that the refueling aircraft’s tail section was damaged and that part of its structure is missing. Previously, the U.S. Central Command said on its social media account that a U.S. KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq, and that another aircraft involved had safely landed. The U.S. statement said that the incident was not caused by enemy fire or a mistaken attack by friendly forces due to misidentification. Subsequently, the Iraqi militia group “Islamic Resistance Organization” claimed that one of the refueling aircraft was shot down by the group, and that the damage to the other was also caused by its actions.
