Mujetaba calls on Iranian people to plant trees "in the name of martyrs"

Xinhua News Agency Tehran, April 1 — According to the Islamic Republic News Agency on April 1, the country’s Supreme Leader, Mujtaba Khamenei, issued a message on the same day to mark Iran’s Islamic Republic Day. In the message, he called on the Iranian people to “plant saplings in the name of martyrs.”

Mujtaba said that planting saplings symbolizes prosperity and hope, and is also a response to “despicable enemies who kill children.”

April 1 is Iran’s Islamic Republic Day. This year, April 2 is also another Iranian public holiday, “Nature Day.” (End)
