On April 14th, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun hosted a routine press conference.
A reporter asked, recently some media reports claimed that China provides military support to Iran.
U.S. President Trump stated that if it is found that China supplies weapons to Iran, the United States will impose a 50% tariff increase on China.
What is China's comment on this?
Guo Jiakun said, we have previously stated China's position.
We want to emphasize again that China has always taken a cautious and responsible attitude toward military exports.
We strictly control exports in accordance with our national export control laws and regulations and international obligations.
The relevant reports are purely fabricated.
"If the U.S. insists on using this as an excuse to impose tariffs on China, China will resolutely countermeasure," Guo Jiakun said.
