Important update regarding developments in the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing negotiations with Iran. Trump clarified that ship movements through the strait have rebounded, recording the highest number of passing ships since its closure began. According to him, 34 ships have transited the Strait of Hormuz in just the past twenty-four hours.

These developments have also reflected on energy markets, with reports indicating that U.S. crude oil prices retreated from their gains during the day and fell below $100 per barrel.

Referring to nuclear negotiations with Iran, Trump stated that he believes the Tehran administration is closer to reaching an agreement. The U.S. president said Iran contacted him earlier that morning and expressed a desire to reach an agreement. He also indicated the possibility of resolving the issue before oil tankers arrive in the United States.
