According to monitoring by 1M AI News, Tengfei Wang, head of research at Tencent Hunyuanworld models, announced on X today that HunyuanWorld 2.0 will be released and open sourced on April 15. The product is positioned as an “engine-ready” world model: input a picture and output a complete, editable 3D scene that can be directly used in game engines. Wang compared it to video generation models such as Genie3: the latter outputs videos, while HunyuanWorld outputs a 3D world that can actually be used and edited.
