GIIC Alliance jointly releases the "Smart Home Unified Interconnection Standard" with Haier, Midea, Huawei, Shanghai HiSilicon, and others

During the 2026 China Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics Expo (AWE), GIIC Global Smart Internet of Things Alliance, together with the China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute, and appliance companies including Haier, Midea, Hisense, TCL, OPPLE, and Bull, as well as industry partners such as Huawei, Shanghai HiSilicon, and China Mobile, jointly released the “Smart Home Unified Interconnection Standard,” aiming to define unified specifications for device discovery, network provisioning, access authentication, and control interfaces across smart home ecosystem devices, so that smart home ecosystem devices from different manufacturers can interconnect and interoperate.
