According to CCTV Finance, recently, American entrepreneur Elon Musk revealed a new project developed in collaboration between his company Tesla and the AI startup xAI, called “Digital Optimus.” Musk said that this system is designed to simulate the complete operational functions of a software company. On the 11th, Musk wrote in a post that the “Digital Optimus” system will use xAI’s Grok large language model as the core “navigator,” and, together with AI agents developed by Tesla, will be able to act on behalf of humans to analyze computer screen video in real time and perform keyboard and mouse operations, thereby completing a range of computer tasks, including coding, content creation, and product testing. It is reported that this project is part of Tesla’s $2 billion investment agreement with xAI reached in January this year, and in theory, it can simulate the work processes of different departments within a software company, and in the future, it may also form a seamless hardware-software coordination with Tesla’s humanoid robot “Optimus.”

U.S. media said that if it succeeds, it could potentially upend those traditional software vendors that rely on manual operations across platforms.
