The 2026 Global Developer Pioneer Conference will be held from March 27 to 29 at the Xuhui West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai. It is jointly guided by the World Artificial Intelligence Conference Organizing Committee, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and the Xuhui District People’s Government of Shanghai, and hosted by the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Association. The conference will feature a “1+3+50+100+N” format, including one opening ceremony, 3+ competitions, over 50 workshops, more than 100 interactive experiences, and N carnival events. Pan Yan, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, stated at the media briefing that in 2025, Shanghai had 394 artificial intelligence enterprises above designated size, with an industry scale exceeding 637 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth rate of 39.5%. As of February 28, Shanghai had registered a total of 149 generative artificial intelligence services, making the AI industry an important engine driving the city’s GDP growth. (Blue Whale News)
