Egg prices remain stable

The laying hen inventory is relatively high, and supply is sufficient. As egg prices approach production costs, feed costs provide a bottom support for prices. Terminal demand has weakened, combined with the relatively weak pork prices, leading to a significant substitution effect, and egg prices face downward pressure. It is expected that egg prices will fluctuate and adjust in the near future. Today, the average egg price in main producing areas is 6.75 yuan per kilogram in Shandong, unchanged from yesterday; 6.56 yuan per kilogram in Hebei, unchanged from yesterday; 7.27 yuan per kilogram in Guangdong, unchanged from yesterday; and 7.20 yuan per kilogram in Beijing, unchanged from yesterday.
