Been looking back at Bitcoin's price journey since December 2010 and honestly it's wild how far we've come. Started at basically pocket change back then, like 25 cents or so, and nobody really knew what it would become. Fast forward through 2011-2012 and you had this crazy volatility - price spiked to $31 then crashed hard. The real turning point was December 2013 when Bitcoin hit $1,000 for the first time. That was the moment people started paying attention.
What strikes me most is the pattern. December 2010 feels like ancient history now, but every major rally has been followed by a brutal correction. Mt. Gox crash tanked it in 2014, the 2017 bull run took it to nearly $20K, then we got crushed down to $3K in 2018. December 2022 was rough at $16,500 during the bear market, but we bounced back to $42,000 by end of 2023.
Looking at the overall trend from December 2010 until now, it's clear Bitcoin's volatility has defined its entire price history. Each cycle teaches you something about market sentiment. The volatility is brutal, but that's always been the game with Bitcoin. You either understand the risk or you don't.
