According to a report by digital asset data provider CCData, in July, crypto trading volumes on centralized exchanges fell to the lowest level this year as the bear market continued. Spot trading volumes fell 10.5% to $515 billion, while derivatives trading volume fell 12.7% to $1.85 trillion.

This decline is attributed to the low volatility in the price action of the two leading cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin and Ethereum). Both tokens have continued to experience sideways price movement since the beginning of July and thus the expected breakout in the market did not occur.
