DOGE has obtained the authority of the Ministry of Finance payment system and is accelerating austerity and stopping the disbursement of some funds.

The system is typically managed by a few non-political appointees, and reportedly, the official in charge has resigned due to a conflict with Musk's ally over access to the sensitive payment system at the Treasury.

Officials responsible for overseeing sensitive payment systems at the Ministry of Finance are about to leave their positions.

According to Bloomberg, David Lebryk, who has served as the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for over a decade, will resign from the position, which "includes responsibility for the world's largest collections, disbursements, cash management, and financing operations." It is rumored that Lebryk resigned due to a conflict with Musk's ally over access rights to sensitive payment systems at the Treasury.

The infrastructure is responsible for processing payments to bondholders, federal employees, and government contractors. In addition to finances, the system also stores sensitive information of American citizens. These systems are tightly controlled and may contain sensitive information of taxpayers, contractors, and beneficiaries. Treasury officials have long maintained that its role is to serve as the federal government's checkbook - and each agency has the authority to approve or deny payments based on funds appropriated by Congress.
