Americas Cardroom's OSS XL Generates $22.3M In Prize Pools In Opening Week

(MENAFN- ACCESSWIRE) SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / March 13, 2026 / Americas Cardroom announced that the opening week of its Online Super Series (OSS) XL has produced more than $22.3 million in total prize pools. The milestone precedes the start of the series’ Main Events, which carry a combined $5 million in guarantees and begin this weekend.

The OSS XL runs through March 23rd and features over $50 million in guaranteed tournaments over a wide range of buy-in levels, with entry fees beginning at just $0.55.

Three Main Events headline the next stage of the series. The schedule includes two tournaments with $2 million guarantees and buy-ins of $2,650 and $1,050, as well as a $1 million guaranteed event with a $215 buy-in. Day 1A begins this Sunday, followed by Day 1B on March 22nd and Day 2 on March 23rd.

“The OSS XL has already seen huge participation in the opening week, but Main Events are where the biggest moments happen,” said Chris Moneymaker, Americas Cardroom Pro and 2003 WSOP Main Event champion. “With $5 million guaranteed across three tournaments starting this weekend, these events are always among the most exciting in the series.”

One of the early highlights of the series was the first guaranteed edition of Phil’s Thrill XXL. The tournament exceeded its $1.5 million guarantee, generating a $2,060,000 prize pool.

Americas Cardroom Pro Jon Pardy is also participating in a 120-hour streaming challenge during the OSS XL, which includes interactive segments, giveaways, and educational content for viewers.

Additional events scheduled during the series include a $1.5 million guaranteed tournament with a $630 buy-in, and two $500,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty tournaments with $109 buy-ins.

Players may also compete in the OSS XL Leaderboard Contest, which distributes $65,000 in cash and tournament tickets across High Stakes, Mid Stakes, and Low Stakes categories.
