Beware of "Evil Twin" WiFi during business trips: Public networks become new traps for cryptocurrency password theft

January 19 News, as the use cases for crypto assets continue to expand, a network attack method called "Evil Twin WiFi" is becoming a covert risk faced by business travelers and crypto users. Multiple cybersecurity experts warn that using free WiFi in public places such as airports, hotels, and cafes may lead to theft of cryptocurrency wallets, account credentials, or even funds. The so-called "Evil Twin" WiFi refers to attackers cloning legitimate public wireless network names to lure users into automatically connecting. Once connected, attackers can monitor traffic, serve phishing pages, or fake login and update prompts to steal sensitive information. Previously, Australian police disclosed that malicious actors set up fake free WiFi at airports to collect travelers' personal data.

Gate will delist 16 Token trading pairs, trading will be suspended on November 12 and a buyback plan will be provided.

According to Gate News bot, the latest announcement states that Gate will be delisting the trading markets for 16 tokens. The tokens involved in the delisting include JAM, ZP, MOJO, FLOAT, UROLITHINA, POP, DOSE, WIFI, GO, ORDS, LOOM, SKI, DRGN, STND, RLY, and PWAR along with their corresponding USDT trading pairs. Gate has suspended the deposit services for these tokens. The related trading services ( include spot trading, quantitative grid, idle coin treasure, and margin trading ) will be suspended on November 12, 2025, at 11:00 ( UTC+8. Gate will provide a repurchase service for users still holding these Tokens from November 26 to December 3, 2025, with a maximum compensation limit of 100 USDT per user.
