Story Protocol and OpenLedger launch AI copyright automated payment mechanism, targeting the $80 trillion market

According to the agreement, intellectual property registered on Story Protocol can be licensed for AI training and AI-generated content. OpenLedger, as an AI-native blockchain, will execute these licenses and handle payments within AI systems. The two parties are building a shared on-chain standard to record ownership, usage, and payment objects.

This move comes amid a continuous increase in AI-related lawsuits, with many cases revolving around intellectual property in 2025. The World Intellectual Property Organization data shows that the global IP market is valued at over $80 trillion. An OpenLedger representative stated that this system will shift AI from pre-training and post-litigation to only using content with provable rights.
