Intel CEO Liwu Chen streamlines leadership team and appoints new technology leaders

On April 18, according to a memo from Chen Liwu seen by the media, Chen Liwu, the new CEO of Intel (INTC.O), is streamlining the semiconductor giant’s leadership team and letting important chipsets report directly to him. According to the memo, Intel also promoted Sachin Katti, head of network chips, to chief technology officer and head of artificial intelligence. These leadership changes are Mr. Chen’s first major move since taking office last month. Intel’s data center and AI chipsets, as well as PC chipsets, will report directly to Chen.
