Iran clarifies its stance on nuclear negotiations: the door to diplomacy is open, but it must ensure that it does not escalate into war.

On July 13, Jin10 reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian stated on July 12 during a meeting with diplomats from multiple countries in Tehran that Iran has always expressed its willingness to negotiate over its nuclear program and "will be prepared for negotiations in the future," but "it must be ensured that negotiations do not turn into war after they are resumed." On the same day, Amir-Abdollahian also mentioned in a televised speech that "the United States insists on returning to the negotiating table, and Iran has received various messages." He stated that Iran is weighing the time, place, and format of potential talks but is "not in a hurry to engage in reckless negotiations." Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that Iran needs guarantees that, if negotiations fail, it will not be attacked again, adding that "some guarantees have indicated that war will not happen again, and we are assessing them." He pointed out that "if there is an opportunity to ensure the interests of the Iranian people, we will not miss it. The door of diplomacy is never closed."
