Some users have reported that the FTX fake compensation email mentions the need to generate an XPUB and requires downloading a tool that is very dangerous. In response, SlowMist's Yu Xian stated that this malicious tool appears to be cobbled together using AI, with a clear intent to steal mnemonic phrases, and apart from that, there are no other hazards.
