South Korea launches a $14.5 million blockchain support program involving CBDC projects

Odaily Planet Daily News - The Ministry of Science and ICT of South Korea and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) have announced that they will jointly launch the 2024 Blockchain Support Program. As part of the “Blockchain Industry Revitalization Strategy”, the project will be divided into the public sector exploring public services and the private sector supporting business commercialization, with a total scale of 20 billion won (about 14.5 million U.S. dollars) this year, and the public Blockchain projects it supports include digital coupons, digital badges, and online voting systems related to Central Bank Digital Money (CBDC).
