According to TechCrunch, OpenAI may soon release an AI tool that can control your computer and perform actions on your behalf. Software engineer Tibor Blaho, known for accurately leaking upcoming AI products, claims to have found evidence of the long-rumored Operator tool from OpenAI. Previously, The Information reported that OpenAI plans to release Operator in January, and the code discovered by Blaho over the weekend adds credibility to this report. According to Blaho, the MacOS version of OpenAI’s ChatGPT client has added some temporarily hidden options for defining shortcuts to ‘Switch Operator’ and ‘Force Quit Operator’. Additionally, Blaho mentioned that OpenAI has included references to Operator on their website, although these references are not publicly visible yet.
