MetaEra news, May 19 (UTC+8), on May 19, Shenzhen printer manufacturer Procolored's official software was found to carry remote access trojans and cryptocurrency stealers for at least half a year. Researchers from cybersecurity company G Data discovered that the accompanying software of at least 6 printer models contains two types of malware: XRedRAT and SnipVex. Among them, SnipVex can infect .EXE files and replace Bitcoin addresses in the clipboard, with the address used to receive stolen Crypto Assets having received about 9.308 BTC, worth nearly 1 million dollars at the current Exchange Rate.
