Today I asked my 6 year old niece a random question: “Does your teacher ever hit you at school?”

Her answer shattered me.

She said “Yes… if I don’t understand a lesson, she slaps my face… or hits my hands with an iron scale.”

I couldn’t breathe. My heart broke into pieces. How is this even allowed? How can a child go through this every day and still smile when they get home?

Honestly sending my own daughter to school scares me. Children hide these things from their parents. They suffer in silence. They carry pain that no child should ever have to carry.

How many innocent children are suffering quietly right now? 😢
